In a recent Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) survey, “maintaining physician compensation levels in an environment of declining reimbursement” ranked #1 when members were asked to rate the challenges they are facing.
The Center for Studying Health System Change confirms these concerns in its study that found “flat or declining fees from both public and private payers appear to be a major factor underlying declining real incomes for physicians.”
