We are seeking a Sexual Health Medical Provider - Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to serve as a Sexual Health Medical Provider. This role will deliver comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services, focusing on prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and education. The provider will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve health outcomes and promote safe practices within the community.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Responsibilities
- STI testing, treatment, and counseling
- HIV prevention and treatment (PrEP/PEP management)
- Contraceptive counseling and management
- Gynecological exams and wellness visits
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop care plans, and manage treatment for patients of diverse ages, genders, and backgrounds.
- Deliver patient-centered education and counseling to support informed decision-making about sexual health and wellness.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, behavioral health providers, and other staff to provide integrated, whole-person care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and ensure compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and community health outreach efforts as needed.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
Proficiency in EMR systems
- Experience in critical care settings, including ICU or emergency medicine.
- Familiarity with medical office operations and documentation practices.
- Knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding systems.
- Background in pediatrics or experience working with children is preferred.
- Understanding of family planning methods and reproductive health issues.
- Experience with acute pain management techniques and procedures.
- Experience administering injections and conducting physical examinations.
- Familiarity with telehealth practices and technology.
- Experience in outpatient settings or urgent care facilities.

Education, Experience, Certifications
- Graduated from an approved Nurse Practitioner school or PA school
- Nurse Practitioner or PA certificate issued by the Arizona Board
- Valid Arizona license to practice in AZ
- Valid DEA certificate
- Demonstrated understanding of clinical methods and techniques
- Ability to meet and deal effectively with clients, associates, and the general public
- Basic business English, spelling, and punctuation skills
- Basic computer efficiency
- Valid AZ driver’s license

- Competency in dealing with people of various cultures and social statuses
- Certification to perform cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for the Health Care Professional (CPR) and AED through courses that follow the guidelines from the American Heart Association and Red Cross (cognitive and skills evaluations)
- Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety for all specialty behavioral health locations
- Three years of experience in community health preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
