Talbot Hall Addiction Services at OSU East Hospital, established in 1974, is a leader in addiction treatment within the OSU Wexner Medical Center. Specializing in adult substance use disorders, Talbot Hall has helped thousands of Ohioans recover through comprehensive care addressing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. As part of the region’s only academic medical center, Talbot Hall collaborates across the Wexner Medical Center and works closely with the faculty and staff of Harding Hospital to serve a highly acute patient population while training future multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
Services include inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient care (PHP/IOP), detox, medication-assisted treatments, ambulatory care, interventional psychiatry, and system-wide addiction programs. The Associate Director provides strategic leadership to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care while driving innovation and excellence across all services.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for supporting the Director in managing program operations, supervising clinical and administrative staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes recovery. The Associate Director contributes to strategic planning, program development, and quality improvement initiatives while maintaining high standards of care for individuals and families affected by addiction.
Minimum Qualifications
For Hire: Master’s Degree in Social Work or Clinical Counseling, with Independent Ohio License to practice, with supervisory status (LISW-S or LPCC-S). Licensure and registration in chemical dependency is desired. A minimum of seven years of experience working with patients with mental illness and/or substance use disorders is also required. Experience and/or training in at least one evidence-based psychotherapy modality (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy) is preferred. Prior leadership and supervisory experience is preferred.
