Manage and apply resources to general professional practice policy compliance and operations. Also responsible for the management of cyclical projects as assigned.
Oversees all operations and the ongoing management of the enterprise-wide centralized verification services inclusive of all providers affiliated with any Sanford organization. Oversee complex professional practice matters where analysis of issues, data and process require advanced specialist knowledge and in-depth industry and technical knowledge. Provides clinical practice guidance to scope of practice, protocols, governance and privileges.
Considered an expert on the provider peer review process. Ensure optimization of process needs for intended goals of the organization. Ability to preserve policies and procedures, while ensuring system issues, individual needs, communications, and escalations are handled with appropriate parties.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
If degree is in nursing, graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
Minimum five years of clinical experience. Two years of experience in health care provider verifications and credentialing, or equivalent experience in closely related field, and prior project and personnel management required.
Possession of an unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multi-state licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state is desired, but not required. Experience in professional practice field may be considered equivalent in lieu of clinical license.
