Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians at Dayton Children's Hospital

Dayton Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team. As a dedicated pediatric hospital, we are committed to providing exceptional care to children in emergency situations. Our Pediatric Emergency Department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and a supportive team of healthcare professionals. Dayton Children’s is a freestanding children’s hospital with more than 35 pediatric specialties. The hospital is a designated Level I pediatric trauma center. We serve a pediatric population of over 500,000 from a 20-county region of central and southwestern Ohio and eastern Indiana. The Emergency Department evaluates over 80,000 children annually.

The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine department of pediatrics and its residency program are based at Dayton Children’s. Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality medical care to pediatric patients in the emergency department. Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute pediatric conditions including injuries, illnesses, and emergencies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient treatment plans. Evaluate and monitor patient response to treatment and adjust medical interventions as necessary. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure appropriate care coordination. Participate in teaching activities for medical students, residents, and fellows. Stay updated with the latest advancements in pediatric emergency medicine through continued education and professional development.

Qualifications:

Medical degree from an accredited medical school. Completion of an accredited residency program in Pediatrics. Board certification or board eligibility in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Unrestricted medical license in the state of Ohio. Excellent clinical skills with the ability to provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients in emergency settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
