We are looking for a future caregiver to take on the role of Director II Safety, Quality and Patient Experience within our world-class team of caregivers. Within this role, you will direct overall hospital quality management and monitoring. Coordinates and implements Quality and Patient Safety initiatives to ensure operational alignment with assigned Hospital/Institute and organizational objectives. Acts a member of the local leadership team and supports unique challenges within the assigned facility. Models Cleveland Clinic Core Values and behavioral standards. Coordinates with nursing, care management, medical staff, and others as appropriate to ensure compliance with all standards and favorable performance on quality, utilization, and experience metrics. Education:

  • Master’s degree required.

Certifications:

  • Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) required.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) preferred.
  • Other preferred certifications: 
  • Certified Patient Safety Professional (CPPS) 
  • Healthcare Accreditation Certification Program (HACP) or Certified Joint Commission Professional (CJCP)  
  • Process Improvement Certification preferred: Lean, Six Sigma, etc. 
  • Certified in Infection Control (CIC) 
  • Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP)

Work Experience:

Six (6) years of relevant healthcare management experience with full understanding of hospital requirements for SQPE.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have at least five years quality experience at a teaching hospital;
  • Have experience managing quality, safety, and experience goals at a hospital level
  • Have demonstrated experience in professional practice evaluation;
  • Have experience and comfort assisting with Joint Commission surveys;
  • Have experience with setting hospital OKRs and data-based targets;
  • Have worked to lead performance improvement efforts to reach those targets;
  • Be comfortable and effective working in a highly matrixed organization.
